Job Overview

Amazon is seeking a highly experienced Privacy Counsel to join our EMEA team. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in shaping our privacy strategy and ensuring compliance with global privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with European and U.S. law.
  • Provide expert advice on data and privacy matters, including cloud computing services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategy and provide guidance on privacy-related issues.
  • Exercise sound judgment in mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous situations.

Requirements

  • Significant post-qualification legal experience, with a minimum of 10+ years of legal experience.
  • Exceptional expertise and experience in Data and Privacy matters or related regulatory matters.
  • Understanding of internet services and applications, as well as related technologies.
