Senior Design Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Design Support Specialist to join our team at B&M Waste Services Limited.
- The successful candidate will assist the Senior/Design Manager in overseeing design processes and supervising consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality results.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project design resources and team profiles during bid and delivery stages.
- Support the Senior/Design Manager to lead a comprehensive and sustainable design service for clients and key partners/suppliers at bid and delivery stages.
- Coordinate specific elements of the design process through RIBA design stages.
- Challenge project briefs and bring innovative solutions to implement continuous improvement benefits at bid and delivery stages.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with design management departmental procedures at bid and delivery stages.
- Assist with design reviews and coordination meetings.
- Implement the design strategy to deliver coordinated design solutions.
- Ensure BREEAM compliance where required on projects in support of the sustainability team.
- Monitor progress against the programme and report to the project team.
- Manage contract specifications, drawings, and related documents.
- Submit design information to client teams.
- Conduct technical reviews of proposed works.
- Collate O&M Health and Safety files (as requested by Document Controller).
- Provide design and technical support to project management teams.
- Work to the Company's Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System standards and performance criteria including delivering the objectives set.
- Perform any other duties consistent with the role of Design Support Specialist as may be required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Working towards or have a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Architectural Technology, or comparable qualification (e.g., HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with design co-ordination or an engineering or architectural background.
- Awareness of and adherence to company policies and health and safety requirements.
- Commitment to continual learning to refine, further develop, and apply expertise to add distinctive value to the Company.
- Excellent IT skills proficient in Microsoft programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
