Job Purpose:

Provide leadership in asset information management within the Information Management discipline.

Support the technical delivery of projects, build client relationships, and contribute to the company's capability and reputation in AIM.

Lead digital delivery, ensuring alignment with asset management standards and client satisfaction.

Support business objectives by driving innovation and excellence in asset information processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead large-scale, complex projects in asset information management or moderately complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Manage teams of 10-20 digital engineers and technicians across multiple projects and business units, ensuring effective asset information delivery.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technical advancements, and legislative developments to enhance professional profile.
  • Act as Information Manager, driving project performance, service delivery, technical, and commercial outcomes in asset management.
  • Resolve technical software faults with SME support, ensuring optimal asset information systems operation.
  • Build strong relationships across teams, disciplines, and external partners, identifying cross-sell and trade-up opportunities.
  • Guide and support project teams through the digital asset information process, providing expertise as needed.
  • Achieve and maintain professional accreditation in asset information management.
  • Select, lead, and develop the asset information management team, ensuring alignment with project strategy and successful delivery of objectives.
  • Lead initiatives for Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) feedback, addressing issues proactively.
  • Provide technical advice to team members for successful asset information delivery and professional development.
  • Champion the use of the Business Management System to meet asset information project requirements.
  • Identify and propose developments within Master Data Management (MDM) tools and asset data interrogation to enhance efficiencies.
  • Provide input into digital bid proposals, ensuring high-quality and competitive submissions.
  • Develop innovative solutions for asset information management, guiding clients through technical decisions and providing alternatives as project parameters evolve.
  • Lead digital delivery for asset information projects, ensuring client satisfaction and effective communication across stakeholders.
  • Identify strategic policy bottlenecks in digital asset management and advise on necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee technical resources and provide input on modelling budgets and schedules for large projects.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, resolving issues and identifying business opportunities in asset information management.
  • Provide specialized technical input for complex studies in asset information management.
  • Lead bid proposal reviews for asset information management scope on projects.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and monitor hazard identification and risk assessment during design development in asset management.
  • Possess deep knowledge of legislation, hazards, and safe systems of work related to asset information management.
  • Champion advanced use of desktop applications, providing training to Digital Engineers in asset information efficiencies.
  • Conduct relevant research in digital software and processes, applying findings within asset information management responsibilities.
  • Plan digital processes for effective project implementation in asset information management.
  • Identify team skill gaps and implement tailored training in asset information management.
  • Experienced in leading diverse teams, resolving potential diversity issues, and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with global resources and ensure effective collaboration in asset information management.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment on statutory, contractual, and commercial issues related to asset information management.
  • Provide ownership of digital environments for project Design Decision Logs and Assumptions Registers, communicating key risk items to Project Managers.
  • Experience in managing senior-level business relationships in the context of asset information management.
  • Possess a sound commercial background, familiar with contractual conditions and procedures in asset information management.
  • Understand and manage activities contributing to sustainable development in asset information management.
  • Demonstrate strong consulting skills, including project and client relationship management at a senior level in asset information management.
  • Communicate concepts and ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues, including excellent English skills.
  • Understand statutory and commercial frameworks in asset information management, with an appreciation for other commercial arrangements.
  • Lead teams and develop staff to meet changing technical and managerial needs in asset information management.
  • Engage in the creative development of digital processes and continuous improvement systems in asset information management.

Key Qualifications:

  • BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in asset information management.
  • Achieved professional Information Manager status or equivalent (Operam/BRE).
  • Relevant experience, including leadership in developing and implementing asset information management solutions.
  • Experience in project management within a major projects asset information role.
