Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' rated SEND school in Skelmersdale. This is an excellent opportunity for someone committed to making a meaningful impact in the field of special education.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with students to create a positive, nurturing environment, helping them navigate their unique challenges and reach their full potential. Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Building strong relationships with students and staff
  • Providing encouragement and support to students
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of students
  • Using De-escalation and calming techniques to manage challenging behaviors

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or adults with additional needs and a positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
