Streetlighting Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Streetlighting Electrician to join our team at Totally Local Company in Stockport. As a key member of our electrical installation team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of street lighting apparatus and other electrical work.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and maintenance of street lighting apparatus and other electrical work
- Ensuring compliance with relevant CDM and health and safety legislation
- Providing accurate information of completed work
- Receiving work instructions from supervisors and higher graded personnel
- Formulating the correct approach to carry out tasks in a safe and effective manner
- Assessing the correct quantities and specification of materials and plant required
- Using equipment and machinery effectively and efficiently in accordance with safe working practices
- Keeping materials, plant, and equipment secure from theft and damage
- Completing works within given timescales and agreed performance levels
- Reporting faults with plant, equipment, or machinery to supervisors
- Participating in operational staff training and development programmes
- Maintaining good working relationships with the general public and dealing with minor queries or complaints
- Working outside normal working hours if required
- Carrying out call-out duties with appropriate standby pay and hourly call-out rate additions
- Working flexibly in the interests of the business
- Competent in street lighting electrical installation and understanding of street lighting circuits
- Ability to work at heights
- Competent in the use of hydraulic platforms
- Knowledge of health and safety at work regulations
- Electrical Installation Certificate NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Part "P" in electrical installation
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
- Effective team player
- Understanding and active support of TLC diversity and equality policy
- Driving licence
