Established Law Firm Seeks Dedicated Children Panel Solicitor

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a prominent law firm to find a highly skilled Children Panel Solicitor for a permanent position.

Our client is a top-tier firm recognized in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, serving corporate entities and private individuals in over 25 practice areas from offices throughout London and across England and Wales.

Family & Children Department Background:

The firm's family department is ranked and recognized by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for family and matrimonial work, providing confidential advice with effective representation.

The team includes practitioners who have achieved the Law Society's Children Law and Family Law Advanced accreditations, providing advocacy in all court proceedings and ensuring clients receive a consistent and professional service.

Main Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Report directly to and collaborate with the Board to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Child Care work, including providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
  • Assist with delivery of appropriate training and development in the department.
  • Deal with a range of public and private children cases, including child abduction, child protection issues, special guardianship, and adoption matters.
  • Registered with the Law Society and Children Panel Membership is desirable.
  • Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.
  • Working knowledge of the publicly funded Child Care work and the ability to service privately funded cases.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with all Child Care work-related work and some expertise on adoption matters.
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
