BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility Specialist to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a key member of the Electrical Engineering (EMC) department, you will be responsible for providing support to the Engineering Manager and/or external specialists in defining electromagnetic requirements and undertaking specialist testing of systems, sub-systems, and components.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in design for EMC compliance and experience in mentoring and coaching Engineers within a team. They will also possess a BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent qualification and professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. You will also receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

In this role, you will work closely with design teams to advise on EMC requirements and design considerations. You will also liaise with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
