The Bread Factory Limited is seeking a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join our Milton Keynes team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of our plant and equipment.
  • Manage the engineering resource and ensure compliance with all current codes of practice, including TBF standards and statutory compliance.
  • React to breakdowns quickly and efficiently, and perform PLC fault finding to input and output level.
  • Redesign machine operations and process technology to enhance the machine's reliability through regular planned preventative maintenance.
  • Develop the quality of the product and output, and ensure that the equipment and plant are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Electrical and mechanically skilled, with electrical preference and hold, at a minimum, an engineering-based NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification (C&G 2330 or similar).
  • Preferably holding an HNC (Level 4) or equivalent qualification in an electrical/mechanical engineering discipline and previous control/instrumentation experience would be highly desirable.
  • Qualified to (or be prepared to qualify to) Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (2382-15) 18th Edition and upgrade as new Editions are released.
  • Understand OEE and equipment performance metrics, and experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to record planned maintenance and reactive tasks.
  • Experience with bakery machinery, and troubleshooting on electrical equipment is a must.
