Cyber Response Threat Hunter

Join Control Risks as a Cyber Response Threat Hunter and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response. As a key member of our Cyber Response team, you will be responsible for leading threat hunting engagements, developing and enhancing threat hunting procedures, and implementing quality assurance programs to ensure effective risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead threat hunting engagements to evaluate attacker spread and anticipate further activity
  • Develop and enhance threat hunting procedures to reflect client requirements and align with Cyber Threat Intelligence team
  • Implement quality assurance programs to ensure threat hunting engagements proactively identify and mitigate risk
  • Leverage Control Risks and external data sources to research threats, vulnerabilities, and intelligence on various attackers and attack techniques
  • Work closely with Cyber Threat Intelligence team and share threat hunting playbooks with incident response team
Requirements:
  • Technical degree or demonstrated knowledge of common networks, software, and hardware used in business environments
  • Experience in conducting log analysis and digital forensics following a cyber incident
  • Demonstrable experience of operating within a commercial environment
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
