Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Safety Compliance Manager to join our Global Operational Excellence Compliance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of safety and compliance procedures for Softlines and Hardlines products. This role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners to ensure compliance with international product safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to pre-defined safety and compliance requirements, working closely with internal stakeholders and business teams.
  • Collaborate with the Regulatory Intelligence team to complete impact assessments for new, emerging, and changing product regulatory requirements.
  • Propose updates and improvements to requirements leads to develop and maintain safety and compliance protocols.
  • Execute high-judgment decision-making for product development-related escalations and product safety investigations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier performance linked to safety and compliance.
  • Provide guidance to business and legal teams on product safety and compliance complexities.
  • Support post-market incident management together with our audit team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Softlines and/or Hardlines manufacturing or retail environment in a product safety and regulatory compliance position.
  • Experience in compliance testing and labeling knowledge of Softlines and/or Hardlines product types for NA and EU markets.
  • Experience with international consumer product standards, regulations, and certification requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree required with a scientific, engineering, or technical focus.
  • Experience working in a multi-national company within an international team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex compliance requirements to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivate, with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree (Consumer Textiles, Chemistry, Engineering, or Equivalent).
  • Experience with Six Sigma.
  • Experience creating sustainable processes with mechanisms used to ensure compliance.
  • Expert knowledge of NA and EU labeling requirements for Softlines and/or Hardlines.
  • Solid Understanding of Consumer Product Safety and Improvement Act (CPSIA), Proposition 65, Restricted Substance List (RSL), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), and other key global product safety and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with children's products regulations or food contact product requirements.
  • Experience with international product regulatory bodies and standardization organizations is a plus (e.g., Middle East-GSO, Australia-ACCC, Japan-JISC).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
