Job Title: Senior Sister in Accident and Emergency

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sister to join our team in the Accident and Emergency department at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 nurse to take on a senior leadership role in our busy Emergency Department. As a Senior Sister, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of nurses in the Emergency Department
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Support the Matrons in meeting national targets and improving patient outcomes
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for staff
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience of working in a senior role in a busy Emergency Department
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Knowledge of current issues affecting A&E service provision and innovative approaches to healthcare delivery
