Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer
You'll be:
  1. Responsible for the technical approach and continuity of project and proposal work.
  2. Functional Lead Engineer for projects as required by the C&I Group Manager.
  3. Executing work activities across all phases of projects, including Conceptual Studies, Procurement, and Commissioning.
  4. Working on projects and proposals for process plant and facilities across the Chemical, Oil and Gas sectors.
  5. Developing Instrument Engineering deliverables as required on a project-by-project basis.
  6. Assisting the C&I Group Manager in developing corporate procedures, standards, and specifications for SHE policy compliance and efficient production work execution.
  7. Defining development and training needs for the discipline, supporting graduate and young Engineer/designer development.
You'll have:
Essential:
  1. Significant experience in Instrument Engineering Design on Medium/Large capital projects from concept to start-up.
  2. Extensive Chemical and/or Refinery experience.
  3. Chartered Engineer status as a Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control (IMC) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
  4. Competence in project execution using selected design tools and techniques.
  5. Competence in budget and schedule control/monitoring and reporting.
  6. Competence in Electrical protection methodologies.
  7. Competence in Specification, technical bid analysis, and requisitioning of Field Instrumentation and Analysers.
  8. Competence in the application, specification, and requisitioning of DCS, PLC, and SIS systems, with experience of the system full lifecycle.
  9. Competence in the Specification/Design/Implementation of Hazardous Area Instrumentation (ATEX).
  10. Competence in Instrumentation and Control requirements for Mechanical packages.
  11. Competence in Sizing of flow devices/control valves/relief devices.
  12. Familiarity with exSILentia software package preferred.
