Job Title: Fire Safety Improvement Specialist

V7 Recruitment is seeking a skilled Carpenter to work on fire safety improvement projects in the national client's commercial sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in hand tools, power tools, and carpentry, as well as knowledge of current building standards and fire safety improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Upgrade doors and frames to enhance safety and integrity of social housing properties and other premises.
• Construct building frameworks, install structures and fixtures, and repair damaged framework.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Carpenter with proficiency in hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of fire safety improvements and current building standards.
• Own van and tools for transportation and project work.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting and assembling/disassembling temporary structures.
• Strong attention to detail for quality workmanship.
• Awareness of fire safety in buildings and adherence to regulations.
• Minimum Level 2 NVQ City and Guilds in Carpentry and Joinery qualification.
• Full Clean UK Driving License for site access.

Working Conditions:
The role involves working on commercial sites with various projects, including fire safety improvement work, door upgrades, and building repairs. The successful candidate will be required to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and operate power tools safely. Regular communication with the team and management is essential for effective project delivery.

Salary Information:
We offer a competitive salary of £220 per day, paid weekly every Friday. Mileage and parking expenses are covered, and CIS payment is available for compliant workers. Overtime opportunities exist for those willing to put in extra effort. This ongoing contract offers a huge amount of work and opportunities for skills development.
