Accounting Professional for Aerospace

**Job Overview:** We are working with a leading organisation in the aerospace and defence industry to hire a Financial Accountant. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the sector, gaining exposure to the complexities of mergers and acquisitions and the financial operations of a newly established entity.
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in defining financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. You will work closely with our team to improve financial processes and procedures, analyse data trends, and provide accurate reporting.
**Responsibilities Include:
• Pre-deal responsibilities: setup lead ledgers in SAP, assist with due diligence on opening balance sheets, load assets into SAP with correct attributes, define and document key financial processes and controls, evaluate internal controls align with enterprise risk management requirements
• Post-deal responsibilities: prepare monthly consolidation packages and statutory accounts, apply IFRS and UK GAAP standards, oversee internal controls and report risks and opportunities, improve financial processes and procedures, analyse data trends and provide accurate reporting, support internal and external audits
**Requirements:
• Essential: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting standards, SAP or equivalent financial reporting tool expertise, experience working in a professional accounting team, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, a proactive and continuous improvement mindset
• Desirable: Mergers and Acquisitions experience
Estimated Salary Range: £43.62 - £32.98 per hour
