An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Urban Forestry Specialist with North Lanarkshire Council. This role is part of a dynamic arboricultural team responsible for maintaining the council's green spaces.

The position features a four-day working week, offering a perfect balance between work and personal life. Our generous terms and conditions include a minimum annual leave entitlement of 27 days per annum (plus 6 public holidays) and a defined benefit pension scheme.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. A relevant professional qualification, such as SVQ Level 2 in Arboriculture.
  2. A valid driving licence, including categories B+E.
  3. Ability to achieve CS 38 & 39 Tree Climbing & Aerial Tree Rescue qualification within 3 months of appointment.

The working pattern involves working from Monday to Thursday, with occasional adjustments during winter months. You will also have access to our comprehensive learning academy, LearnNL, which offers various training opportunities to help you develop your skills and advance your career.
