About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a School Cleaner at Oak Tree School in Truro. As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the school premises, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

• Daily Cleaning Tasks: Dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves, and fitments.
• Waste Management: Empty waste bins or similar receptacles and transport waste materials to designated collection points.
• Restocking: Replenish consumable items, such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels, as required.
• Toilet and Shower Cleaning: Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, and sinks, as well as showers.
• Vacuuming and Stain Removal: Vacuum rugs and carpets and remove stains using brushes and cleaners.

General Responsibilities:

• Initiative: Take the initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically mentioned but require attention to maintain high standards.
• Quality and Compliance: Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the school and maintaining high and consistent standards, ensuring Health & Safety, quality, and general procedure compliance.
• Reporting: Report cleaning supplies requirements and stock levels to the line manager and any breakages, faulty equipment, or Health and Safety issues.
