About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our Alternative Provision in Nottingham. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be stepping into classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students are engaged in pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students are engaged in pre-set work.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment, promoting student engagement and well-being.
  • Support students with additional needs, providing individualized attention and guidance.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive outlook.
  • DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
