As a Design Technology Technician at Academics Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process in our Lewisham school. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all necessary equipment and materials are available and ready for use by teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and manage materials, resources, and equipment to support teaching and enhance student learning in Design Technology.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is ready for teacher demonstrations and student projects.
- Maintain engaging classroom displays featuring current students' project work and artefacts.
- Offer technical advice and assistance to staff and students during lessons and projects.
- Oversee the storage and organization of tools, equipment, and student project files.
- Copy and distribute worksheets and materials as required for lessons.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines in the workshop.
- Previous experience in a similar technician role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Proficient in handling and maintaining a variety of Design Technology tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations concerning workshop tools and materials.
- A friendly and supportive school atmosphere in Lewisham.
