Job Overview
As a key member of the VickerStock team, the successful candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, and management of production, goods inwards, and distribution activities within our factory. This role requires strong leadership experience in a food production environment, with a proven track record of driving efficiency, safety, and quality improvements.

About the Role
The Factory Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the factory, meeting customer service KPIs, and maintaining compliance with business inventory levels. This includes leading lean manufacturing principles and tools to drive continuous improvement, as well as implementing stretch manufacturing KPIs to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. The role also involves overseeing health and safety, food safety, and quality standards, ensuring they are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive production efficiency, safety, and quality improvements
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and management of production, goods inwards, and distribution activities
- Lead lean manufacturing principles and tools to drive continuous improvement
- Implement stretch manufacturing KPIs to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure health and safety, food safety, and quality standards are met or exceeded

Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a food production environment
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and legislative requirements
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Highly proficient in MS Office and manufacturing stock control systems
- Desirable: H&S Qualification, Food Hygiene qualification, Manual Handling, Chemical Handling, Forklift License

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £45-50K, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 32 days' holiday (inclusive of stats), pension, family-friendly policies, and treats like Summer lunches and Christmas celebrations.
