Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Officer to join our team at Welwyn Hatfield. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing our sheltered housing schemes and providing support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit tenants regularly to assess their needs and provide support
  • Develop and implement support plans to help residents achieve their goals
  • Liaise with support services to ensure residents receive the help they need
  • Facilitate social activities and events to promote a sense of community
  • Ensure access to services is available and effective
Requirements
  • A sensitive and caring approach to the needs of elderly and/or vulnerable people
  • Experience of carrying out assessments and identifying and managing needs/risks
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
About You

You will be a resident-focused individual who is passionate about enabling older people to stay independent. You will have a 'can do' attitude and be confident in your ability to work independently. You will also have a full driving licence and access to a car.
