Job Title: Health and Safety Coordinator

Wincanton Trans European Limited seeks an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to manage and facilitate all site health and safety activities in a manner that ensures all statutory and company requirements are achieved and maintained in support of the business objectives.

This is a hands-on role and reports to the HSEQ Manager. The salary for this position is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum plus benefits.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Elevate and report all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards as necessary using the site internal escalation process.
  • Assist managers in investigations of accidents/incidents/near misses where necessary.
  • Ongoing observance of environmental and safety rules and signs at all times.
  • Conduct thorough health & safety compliance checks and audits.
  • Ensure completion of assigned actions thoroughly and on time.
  • Aid the site and team in achieving all relevant objectives and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Maintain up-to-date H&S files as needed.
  • Support the development of toolbox talks and H&S briefs.
  • Update H&S communications boards across the site.
Your Requirements:
  • Strong administrative skills with a background in Health and Safety.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
