Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Project Officer to join our team at Argyll and Isles Culture Heritage and Arts Assembly (CHARTS). As part of the Grassroots Heritage in Scotland project, you will be responsible for delivering the day-to-day operations, ensuring the project's success and impact.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with heritage groups and individuals across Scotland, identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
  • Develop and implement effective publicity strategies to promote the project's roadshows, network meetings, and training sessions.
  • Deliver 12 roadshow events, including hybrid events, and ensure their success through collaboration with local contacts.
  • Provide regular updates on the SCHA website, highlighting project progress and emerging themes.
  • Host six online meetings to facilitate discussion and knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver three online training sessions focused on topics arising from the roadshows.
  • Contribute to the final report to funders, summarizing key outcomes and lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of the Scottish heritage landscape and its various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, event planning, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and tools for marketing, communication, and content management.
  • A competitive salary of £28,000-£32,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in promoting grassroots heritage in Scotland.
