Payroll Director

A highly sought-after position has become available for a seasoned Payroll Manager to join the finance department at Financial Staffing Solutions. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the payroll team, ensuring seamless execution of tasks, and meeting deadlines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Key duties include:

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll information by designing efficient systems and directing data collection, calculation, and entry.
• Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, deductions, job titles, department transfers, payment types, booking records, pay rates, charge rates, and AWR.
• Paying workers by directing the production and issuance of payslips and electronic transfers to bank accounts.
• Preparing reports, including KPIs and Management Information, to inform business decisions.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies and balancing accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Extensive experience in payroll management, preferably in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a small team and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex payroll issues.
• Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy in high-volume transactions.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
