Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to join GE Aviation's Wales Quality Control Team, working in partnership with Operations to promote adherence to Quality and Safety Management Systems and conduct error investigations.

In this role, you will drive Quality improvement and engagement within operational areas, working with Quality peers, operational teams, and other support functions to assure the highest product Quality standards in accordance with regulatory and customer specific requirements.

The role requires promoting a Quality culture at a shop floor level, enhancing shop presence, supporting Quality queries, and conveying Quality metrics for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a Quality culture throughout the business.
  • Participate in best practice sharing throughout the ATMRO network.
  • Support proactive and reactive Quality concerns.
  • Support customer, regulatory and internal rating audits in-line with business audit plan.
  • Communicate with direct teams, and relevant business leadership on Quality related issues and Quality metrics.
  • Work cooperatively with the operational teams to identify systemic quality issues within the business and support in developing robust root cause, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Timely execution of quality investigations and task related actions.
Requirements
  1. Experience in an aviation overhaul environment or a fast-paced industrial quality role.
  2. Computer literacy is essential to the position.

  1. Experience in Aviation sector - Quality systems.
  2. Effective communication skills, both written and spoken and the ability to interact at all levels - including senior business leadership, regulatory representatives, and customer/operator representatives.
  3. A pragmatic approach to decision making, and the ability to understand and take account of the wider business picture.
