Job Overview

We are seeking a Regional Equipment Technician to join our team at CV Library. This exciting role will involve traveling across the Peterborough, Ipswich, Norwich and surrounding areas to provide exceptional service support to our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out service visits to reported calls throughout the company's customer base within a specified region. They will establish and promote professional service support operations and adapt to changing manufacturer products and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment and production printers.
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and establishing effective repairs through adjustment, cleaning, or replacement of spare parts.
  • Performing preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and recommendations from service management.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to overcome new or unusual faults.
  • Escalating call issues in a timely manner.
  • Informing customers on work carried out and gaining acceptance on the machine's condition and performance post-service.
  • Installing equipment sold by the company and ensuring it meets customer satisfaction standards.
  • Providing customers with guidance and training to achieve optimal results from equipment and prevent operator faults.
  • Managing an efficient car stock of spare parts and consumables.
  • Maintaining full utilization of provided resource materials and equipment.
  • Working towards achieving measured performance targets, identifying below-target performance, and creating action plans to address machine and customer issues.
  • Minimizing travel and non-productive time to maximize daily call completion rates.
  • Keeping customers informed about ongoing issues such as return-to-fit parts requirements.
  • Continuously reviewing and improving customer handling skills.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all machines and products promoted and sold by the company.
  • Fostering strong working relationships with customers through exceptional services and support.
  • Participating in manufacturer and in-house training courses.
