About the Role

East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a qualified Primary School Teacher to join our team. This role requires someone who is passionate about education and dedicated to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for children.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to child-centred education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents. A competitive salary of £25,690 - £35,947 per annum is offered, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • To plan, deliver and assess educational programs that meet the needs of all learners
  • To develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • To contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies
  • To participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Required Skills and Qualifications

A degree in Education or a related field, a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE), and a strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence are essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with children aged 5-12 and be familiar with assessment tools and data analysis software.
