We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at Leigh Academy Hugh Christie. As a Teacher of English, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students, delivering engaging and effective lessons that foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Developing and implementing engaging curriculum materials
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong passion for English education and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching
  • A high level of teaching experience and delivery of results, or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for their first position
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and happiness and wellbeing of everyone at the Academy
