We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Manager to join our team at Dunbia in Northern Ireland. As a key member of our New Product Development (NPD) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful launch of new and re-developed products.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the NPD process to ensure new and re-developed products are launched successfully, delivered efficiently, and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Work closely with the Development Chefs and Commercial Team to ensure all information is co-owned, co-approved, and appropriate to the brief.
- Scale up product concepts from the Development Chefs in a professional and organized manner for timely and accurate presentation to customers.
- Collaborate with other site disciplines to ensure the food safety, quality, and legality of all new and modified products.
- Maintain records of NPD activities to ensure audit compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant food trends and innovation, working with the Development Chefs, Marketing Team, and customers to develop and deliver new and modified lines.
- Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver food-safe, legally compliant new and modified lines.
- 2+ years of experience in the food industry, preferably in a Product Development role.
- Science or Food Science qualification at higher education level, or equivalent experience in industry.
- Organizational skills to manage and develop multiple projects.
- Understanding and working knowledge of food science and manufacturing processes.
- Full UK driving license and ability to travel to UK sites and customers as required.
