About the Role
As an HR Assistant, you'll join our HR team in supporting the provision of a professional HR service, including payroll administration, time and attendance data management, and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems records and reports. You'll work closely with our HR Manager to ensure seamless service delivery and support our employees in their HR needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Process payroll and benefit queries in a timely and accurate manner, including monthly information input to our external payroll provider.
- Promote and organize Health & Wellbeing initiatives to support our employees' physical and mental well-being.
- Provide first-point contact for Occupation Health Services and ensure responsive support for employees.
- Review, update, and communicate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Maintain data accuracy in Workday and other internal databases to support data-driven decision-making.
About the Salary
We offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum, commensurate with your level of expertise and experience. In addition to your base salary, you'll also receive:
- 29 days annual leave, including statutory holidays.

About You
We're looking for an experienced HR Assistant with a passion for sustainability and a drive to make a positive impact. You'll have a solid understanding of HR principles and practices, with a focus on recruitment, payroll, and employee relations. You'll be a strong communicator with excellent IT skills and a willingness to learn and grow with our company.
Requirements
- Experience in an HR support role, preferably in a production environment.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- A good working knowledge of current employment legislation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to prepare detailed reports and presentations.
Desirable Qualifications
- CIPD qualification.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of Workday system or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a unionized environment or with employee forums.
- Demonstrated resilience in a challenging environment.
