Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of audits, working closely with clients and leading engagements from planning to completion.
  • Undertake site visits at clients' premises, supervising junior staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services.
  • Review the work of junior audit staff, providing constructive mentorship and guidance to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Identify and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the audit function, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of quality and service.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to problem-solving, providing trusted advice and guidance to clients on audit-related matters.
  • Support business development for the firm, identifying new service lines and opportunities for existing and potential clients.
  • Set an example for the team as a natural leader, demonstrating a positive and can-do attitude when working under pressure.
Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified.
  • At least 1 year of varied audit experience within practice.
  • Experience of group audits and group accounts.
  • FRS 102 knowledge.
  • Some general accounts and tax experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience, with good people management skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure.
  • Committed to delivering the highest quality service.
  • Strong IT skills and familiar with cloud-based software systems.
  • A team player who is eager to lead, support, and train the wider team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
