The Role

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Guide students through art education aligned with national curriculum standards, fostering their artistic exploration and understanding.
  • Cultivate Creativity: Encourage and nurture the unique artistic talents of each student, providing them with opportunities to express themselves creatively.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable taking risks, experimenting, and sharing their ideas.
  • Monitor Progress and Provide Feedback: Assess student artwork regularly, offering constructive feedback that guides their development and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Showcase Student Talent: Organize and display student artwork to celebrate their achievements and inspire a sense of pride within the school community.
  • Collaborate and Contribute: Participate in curriculum development initiatives and engage in professional growth opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay at the forefront of art education.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Art or a related field.
  • Experience teaching art at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills to effectively guide and support students.
  • A genuine passion for art and a commitment to student success.
