Casual/Flexible Teaching Assistants

Teaching Personnel is seeking reliable and adaptable support staff to work in primary and secondary SEN schools based in and around Preston. The schools cater for young people who require additional support in their learning and development due to their special educational needs.

As a member of our support team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality care and support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. Your key duties will include:

  • Providing academic support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Building positive relationships with students and supporting their engagement and participation.
  • Supporting the general class teacher and participating in the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Providing meaningful feedback on pupil attainment and progress.
  • Promoting pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development through the curriculum.

Key Information:

  • Flexible, part-time, and full-time positions available.
  • No specific qualifications necessary, but a care/support/health background is desirable.
  • Options for temp to perm available.
  • PAYE Contract.
  • £12.90+ per hour depending on additional duties and experience.
