Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients who require occupational therapy interventions. This will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and abilities, identifying areas where occupational therapy can make a positive impact.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating a range of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's specific requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care.
  • Prioritize workload effectively, managing competing demands and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, adhering to professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Substantial post-registration experience working in mental health settings, preferably with individuals experiencing severe and complex mental health needs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and open communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A willingness to participate in continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in occupational therapy.
