Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at St Christopher's Hospice. As a Dietitian Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist dietetic assessment and treatment for patients with life-limiting illnesses, optimizing their independence and improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, goal-focussed patient care and support in a specialist palliative care setting
  • Provide clinical dietetic services across in-patient settings, out-patient clinics, and other venues as required
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized dietetic plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' nutritional needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in palliative care and dietetics

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Dietetics or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical dietetics setting, preferably in palliative care
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
