About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team at Yorkshire Cancer Research. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in setting up and running our brand-new shop in Hull.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring smooth retail activities, providing exceptional customer service, and managing a team of volunteers. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with operational, financial, and safety standards.

In addition, you will support the Shop Manager in maximising income through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation, and help to create a welcoming and positive work environment for customers and volunteers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Experience of managing people and/or volunteers, including recruitment and development
  2. Excellent organisational and time management skills
