Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

1. Commercial Management

  • Ensure accurate cost and value reporting and forecasting to mitigate adverse financial impacts.
  • Ensure effective capture of costs and allocation of costs.
  • Identify, report, and escalate commercial risk to ensure appropriate mitigation.
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in determining operational commercial reporting requirements.
  • Self-assurance of commercial data and contractual processes.

2. Enabling of Commercial Efficiencies

  • Lead the identification of cost reduction opportunities and support stakeholders in realizing them.
  • Support the development and embedding of alliance business plans and business lead efficiency initiatives.
  • Continuously review commercial processes to identify and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and support on benchmarking activities to ensure the alliance is as efficient as possible.
  • Identify and lead on delivery of commercial lessons learned across the allocated regional office.

3. Contract Administration, Compliance, and Self-Assurance

  • Create and own commercial forums with stakeholders to ensure prudent commercial management and compliance with governance.
  • Ensure compliance with the alliance Procurement Policy and relevant statutory legislation.
  • Work with the Commercial Lead and Contract Management Team to compile Work Orders.
  • Ensure appropriate commercial entitlement in respect of contractual scope change.
  • Conduct risk-based cost audits to identify disallowable costs and drive ongoing compliance.

4. Manage, Develop, and Support Resource

  • Ensure team and people compliance with agreed processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Coach and mentor commercial staff where required.
  • Ensure all team members are appropriately trained and competent.
  • Conduct formal and informal performance reviews of peers and team.
  • Timely and accurate management of team through Workday.
