Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team at Entech Technical Solutions Ltd. Based in Peterborough, this long-term contract position will require expertise in a number of fields, including metallic materials processing, heat treatment, casting, forging, and non-metallic materials processing.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, providing technical guidance to other teams and contributing to the identification, analysis, and resolution of needs in the Materials Engineering field. They will be responsible for complex analysis work, identifying and resolving problems, and communicating technical information in a concise and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigating different materials in multiple applications
  • Resolving issues regarding design or manufacturing
  • Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness
  • Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement

Requirements:

  • Expertise in metallic and non-metallic materials processing, heat treatment, casting, forging, injection moulding, friction welding, blow forming, elastomer processing, failure analysis, laboratory experience, mechanical testing, chemical analysis, corrosion testing
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £34,000 - £37,000 per annum (FCSA Umbrella rate) or £22-£26 per hour (Paye)
