Fibre Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fibre Engineer to join our team at Fuel Recruitment Limited. This is a key role in our mission to provide quality services across the telecoms industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a professional manner, always acting as an ambassador of HGC.
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
  • Ensure the quality of personal workmanship and care for company equipment and property.
  • Install and test optic fibre networks, including internal and external fibre within commercial or residential properties.
  • Install internal or external cable containment and work on POP/FEX sites.
  • Supply detailed daily project reports and photographs to project managers or field supervisors.
  • Label equipment, cable, or cable core to customer requirements and implement work pack instructions.
  • Produce redline mark-ups and submit A55 documents.
  • Work on Openreach and City Fibre networks.
Requirements:
  • Proven fibre experience and ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience in fibre installation, testing externally and internally.
  • Good written and verbal English language skills and competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing role and physically complete the job requirements.
  • NRSWA unit 2 and a valid driving licence with no more than 6 points.
