We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Care Specialist to join our team in Swindon, Wiltshire. This is a permanent full-time position with 37.5 hours a week, Day Shifts.

Role Overview

This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading UK healthcare provider, utilizing the latest advancements in medical technology. The ideal candidate will have experience as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin or ODP with HCPC registration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality scrub provision, supporting surgeons and anticipating potential problems.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical compliance, and hygiene levels.
  • Undertake medicine management, audit duties, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Manage clinical waste and ensure correct disposal procedures.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in hospital eye services or private eye clinics.
  • Knowledge of clinical practice and awareness of Optometry developments.
  • Training and coaching others.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Competent user of computer systems and programmes.
  • Excellent English language skills, verbal and written.
