Job Title: Systems Engineering Manager

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Manager to join our Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) business. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the APNT System Engineering team across programmes, developing technical proposals, and managing requirements analysis and management tasks.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of programmes and R&D studies, developing additional capacity within the Engineering team as a key enabler to the strategic growth of the business. The role will be based at Raytheon's Harlow facility, and the successful candidate will report directly to the APNT Senior Programme Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the APNT System Engineering team (10 Systems Engineers) across programmes
  • Lead preparation of technical proposals in responses to bids
  • Lead requirements analysis and management tasks – from capturing customer requirements to developing requirement sets for sub-systems & suppliers
  • Lead systems design and development tasks – working both internally and closely with the existing supply chain and strategic partnerships to develop technical solutions
  • Lead systems integration, verification and validation tasks – from developing sub-system level test specifications, through to generating compliance matrices to allow sign-off of top level systems for delivery
  • Define the systems capabilities aspects of the APNT technology and product roadmaps
Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineering Manager with a degree in an engineering (or related) subject. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a systems engineering team across the product development lifecycle, leading engineering teams in programmes and technical proposals preparations, and developing systems engineering capabilities across programmes.
