About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze design packages for electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution, control systems, and electrical equipment.
  • Prepare project design basis documents and load lists based on project scope.
  • Produce technical reports and specifications for electrical equipment.
  • Assist in the electrical activities of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors during the front-end engineering development (FEED) and design phase.
  • Coordinate with project managers to finalize electrical engineering scope for the entire project or package.
  • Carry out analysis of major equipment selected in the design package.
  • Review and respond to technical and site queries.
  • Ensure that design work by contractors is in accordance with client's design standards, applicable codes, and regulations.
  • Assist project managers and project engineers in evaluating material requisitions, technical bid evaluation, and award recommendations.
  • Review and evaluate change orders to ensure compliance with standards and costs are in line with project budget.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure facility integrity in terms of health, safety, and environment (HSE).
  • Provide technical assurance for electrical discipline deliverables for projects.
  • Recommend new improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Certified engineer desirable.
  • Extensive experience in design, engineering, and construction.
  • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and other international electrical standards, best practices, and value practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of the English language.
  • Experience with electrical transient analysis program (ETAP) or similar software and Microsoft office.
