About the Role

As a Social Work Team Lead at Julia's House Dorset/Wiltshire Children's Hospices, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Family Support Service. We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Social Worker to lead our team and drive innovation in providing exceptional care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the social work provision for all children and families supported by Julia's House, planning and establishing social support services, and developing existing services in close liaison with the Family Support Services Lead and Strategic Nursing Team. You will also take a lead role within safeguarding (adults and children) for Julia's House and provide advice and guidance to colleagues in line with local council policy under the direction of the identified Safeguarding Leads.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and effectiveness of social work services for children and families supported by Julia's House
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and families
* Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff members to ensure they receive the necessary support and resources to deliver high-quality services
