Job Title: DevOps Engineer

IT Global Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and ongoing support of our platform, as well as acting as the internal focal point for an enterprise platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within an agile context using CI/CD pipelines
  • Design and implement logical infrastructure solutions
  • Support teams in mapping their stories to available platforms
  • Assess applications, software, and hardware using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Develop and administer AWS infrastructure using cloud native services and third-party products
  • Enhance the tech stack and configurations of existing services to improve site performance and reduce issues
  • Build and manage VPC environments for sandbox, dev, test, production, training, and support
  • Automate deployments using infrastructure as code (Pulumi/Terraform)
  • Implement agile ways of working
  • Utilize Kubernetes, Python, Bash, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, and automation
  • Implement autoscaling on AWS and experience with Karpenter
  • Experience with DevOps concepts and deploying CI/CD pipelines using cloud native and third-party tools
  • Excellent Shell Scripting and Python skills
  • Experience with monitoring and metrics platforms (Datadog/Prometheus)
  • Build and deployment using CI/CD, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, Maven, Helm
  • Monitoring using Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
  • Able to assess security of existing applications and define standards for new projects
  • Suggest innovative solutions to business problems and processes that leverage technology
  • Capability of working to tight timescales while maintaining quality product development
  • Building a useful, robust automated test suite to support a CI/CD environment
Requirements:
  • AWS, Azure, Java, Cloud, Cyber Security
  • Nice to have technologies and experience: Nginx, IPv4 Networking, Software engineering, Test automation, Relational and non-relational data technologies
Desired Qualifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) for J2SE 6
  • Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD)
  • ITILv3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
