About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Assistant to join our team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, delivering care to over 1.6 million patients across three main hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing aseptic products in our hospital pharmacy production unit. They will also be required to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and patients.

As a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with experienced professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to this, you will receive a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, generous annual leave, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths, English, and Science - Grade A* to C (or equivalent).
  • NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 2 or Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) - relevant optional units or ability to study for these.
  • Previous experience of working in a hospital pharmacy production unit preparing aseptic products.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively using clear written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated good manual dexterity to undertake fine and accurate manipulative work.
  • Understanding of the importance of hygiene standards in the preparation of medicines.
