Occupational Therapist

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Occupational Therapy Team in North Wales. The successful candidate will work within the Community Mental Health Team, covering the Anglesey area, and will be part of a wider Occupational Therapy Adult Mental Health Team in the West area.

Main Duties

As an autonomous practitioner, you will provide a flexible and comprehensive service to the community area you are responsible for. You will confidently carry out comprehensive and professional interventions for patients with complex needs, incorporating physical, personal, and psychological needs in relation to self-care, leisure, and productivity.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, and will provide supervision and development of support workers and students within your team. You will also maintain links with the immediate team as well as wider team alongside external agencies to maintain and develop the trust Occupational Therapy service.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of a range of rehabilitation interventions, alongside understanding a diverse range of conditions and current issues that affect a person's mental health and occupational therapy services. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, but English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
