Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the University of Leeds. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for carrying out proactive and reactive repairs and maintenance across our student accommodation portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance schedules and plans

Requirements

  • Basic plumbing, joinery, and painting & decorating skills
  • Experience in maintenance or as a general builder or labourer
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
