About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to work closely with their new ELP, providing support to children with ASD starting with early years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the delivery of tailored learning programs for students with ASD.
  • Assist individual students or small groups, promoting engagement and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive environment for all children, fostering their social and emotional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Support the implementation of behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related educational strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with additional needs.
