Job Title: Band 6 Neonatal Staff Nurse

We are seeking an experienced neonatal nurse to join our team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Neonatal Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

About the Role

As a member of our neonatal team, you will work in a Level 3 Bliss accredited tertiary neonatal intensive care unit, caring for some of the most complex and pioneering medical cases. You will have access to extended role development in retrieval and neonatal life support, as well as rotational opportunities in Neonatal Outreach, Family Integrated and developmental care, Infant feeding, Education, and Research teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients and their families in a Level 3 NICU setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in extended role development in retrieval and neonatal life support.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines in neonatal care.
Requirements
  • Current RN registration with NMC.
  • BSc Degree in a relevant field.
  • Teaching qualification/experience and accredited NMC before mentorship course.
  • Significant demonstrable experience within specialty in level 3 NICU with evidence of professional development.
