Role Overview:

This position is a key role in Digital finance, overseeing end-to-end finance operations for your area of responsibility. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, improving procedures and controls, and managing ad-hoc projects and requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage and develop a team of financial analysts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage financial models to support business decisions.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage and produce daily P&Ls and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure the management accounts team adheres to Digital and Group Finance deadlines.
  • Implement controls in line with the Group's Financial controls programme.
  • Support on cost reviews with budget holders.
  • Support the Head of Finance with the year end and interim audits.

Requirements:

  • Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant with PQE experience.
  • Experience of management accounting and financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and remediate risks.
  • Ability to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Retail industry experience desirable.
  • Experience of Oracle Financials and TM1 useful (though training will be provided).
  • A positive, flexible, enthusiastic and driven attitude.
