About Exponent

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Sciences Associate to join our team in London, UK.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical work to clients, managing client expectations, and leading multidisciplinary project teams. You will also contribute to the growth of our practice through active marketing, conference attendance, and publishing research papers.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • You hold a D./Dr.-Ing/. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or related sciences such as Chemistry or Physics.
  • With a strong experimental research background in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, or a related field, you have developed expertise in designing experiments, constructing apparatus, and analyzing data.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • As a self-motivated individual, you have demonstrated your ability to present at technical conferences, publish in peer-reviewed journals, obtain professional certifications, and participate in extra-curricular activities.
  • You have intellectual curiosity and a passion for exploring complex problems and applications within and outside your area of specialization.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong deductive reasoning skills and leadership abilities, proven by your experience working in collaborative environments.
  • Prior industry experience is preferred, but not required. Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer is highly valued, while dual language fluency is valued but not essential.
